This straight hole
gives you an opportunity for a
good finish to your front nine.

Like some of the other par fours, the golfer who can hit
the ball higher and carry it farther will benefit by catching the
downslope of the fairway. To get a lot more roll requires "air time"
of at least 200 yards from the back tee.
Tip: Watch your alignment. The lay-of-the-land sets you
up to go a
little right. This aims you at the small grove of trees near the edge
of the fairway.

The second shot is a little downhill and not that difficult.
With a short iron in your hands and a green that'll hold your
shot, it's a good time to go for the pin.
Tip: Error on the short side. Plan on landing no deeper
than the
middle of this small green. If you hit short, it'll run on.

The smooth surface in front is conducive to running
balls on the green. Once again, missing long or left can make
chipping difficult. The surface is relatively easy to putt.
Tip: Unlike on a lot of other greens, you can be aggressive with
your stroke here. Putts can be holed from any distance. Play for
only a little break.

HOLE GOAL: Birdie. If you hope to shoot par for your
round, you want to finish the front side 2 or 3 under. The
back nine plays about 3 shots harder.
