The uphill third
is now a par 5
which requires positioning more than power.

From
the back tee the hole will play long with uphill carries all the way. If
you can control your tee ball, favor the left side of the fairway to have
the best angle for your next shot.
Tip: The
same advice applies as when this hole was a par 4. There are some trees on the left you can recover
from, but don't hit it right. If you slice or spray your driver, go with the
3 wood. Shorter and straighter is better at Butter Valley.

Of
course, how you play your second shot will depend on where your tee ball
ended up, but most players should try to hit a shot which will
leave them no more than 100 yards to the green. Big, high ball hitters
must consider whether it's worth the gamble cutting the dogleg by going
over the tall trees.
Tip: Made
for your fade. Aim just right of the "old" green and let nature
take its course. But, stay away from the trees on the right at the corner
of the dogleg.

You'll
need more club to this uphill green and balls will tend to come in
"hot." The green runs away from you and a little to the right.
The putting surface is big, nearly 100 feet wide by 75 feet deep.
Tip: Hit
it high, but be sure you have enough to carry the bunkers.

The
surface tilts gently to the back right. There's a false front and a
plateau in the back left.
Tip:
Most putts will
swing slightly toward the back right.

HOLE GOAL:
Position, position,
position. This is a three shot 5 par... not a birdie hole.
