This sharply downhill hole
requires
some figuring in order to pick
the proper club and get the right results.

This hole is like a smaller version of the par 3, 8th. The
shot is 50 yards less, but a similar playing strategy can be applied
here. The downhill terrain and the hole's design warrant that
you land the ball short of the green.
Tip: Like the 8th, trying to fly it on the green and
missing risks
that your ball will come to rest a long way past the putting surface.
In picking a club, deduct about 40-50 from the scorecard's yardage,
more or less depending on wind direction and how "fast" are the
playing conditions. Aim to the right side of the green, hit a solid
shot and wait to see your ball roll on the green toward the hole.
(If you don't see it in about 5 seconds, it ain't gonna' happen!)

This rather circular green should only be missed in front.
Otherwise, chipping or pitching close to the pin can be difficult.
Putts are tough to read and make on this green, partly because of
the small mound in the center.
Tip: Concentrate on getting the right speed on your putts and the
right distance on your chips. Don't be too bold.

HOLE GOAL: Get a par. Don't force it. Make no more than 4.
